Sam holds a wide range of professional and practical qualifications, including:
LANTRA Certificate in Professional Tree Inspection
Level 4 in Arboriculture
BTEC National Award in Countryside Management (Woodland Management)
Licence in Quantified Tree Risk Assessment (QTRA)
Technician Member of the Arboricultural Association
Specialism in Subsidence Investigation
In 2022, Sam was honoured to receive the Young Professional of the Year Award from the Arboricultural Association – a testament to his commitment and expertise in the field.
His work has taken him to Australia and Sweden, where he’s contributed to specialist tree projects. Sam’s deep interest in tree pests, diseases, and veteran tree management shapes our science-led, thorough approach to tree care.
At the heart of the business is family. Sam runs Eden Tree Specialists alongside his amazing wife Helen, with their two young boys at home, keeps for a busy life! It’s a true family-run company – built on passion, teamwork, and a genuine love for trees and the outdoors.
