London Plane Pruning in the Centre of Bedford

Over a recent Sunday, our team at Eden Tree Specialists Ltd completed a carefully planned and expertly executed project involving three mature London Plane trees located in a busy town centre location.

The trees had begun to encroach on the highway, reducing light into lower-level office spaces and making access to nearby parking bays increasingly difficult. With safety, functionality, and long-term tree health in mind, we carried out a targeted crown reduction to alleviate these issues while preserving the trees’ structure and visual appeal.

To ensure the works were carried out safely and efficiently, we coordinated a temporary lane closure—minimising disruption to traffic and ensuring the safety of our crew and the public. The job was completed on schedule with minimal disturbance to the surrounding businesses and road users.
