We’re pleased to announce that the Eden Tree Specialists team has begun a new project at Wyboston Lakes Resort and Golf Course, one of the region’s premier destinations for golf, business, leisure and hospitality.
Our team has been tasked with two key pieces of work: clearing a large fallen Willow Tree and carrying out a reduction of an Ash Tree to improve flight lines into the greens. Both jobs are designed to enhance playability and the overall golfing experience for members and visitors alike.
Why This Work Matters
Tree management on golf courses requires a different approach to standard tree surgery. It’s not just about safety and tree health — it’s about understanding how the trees interact with the course itself. Overhanging canopies and encroaching branches can block approach shots, obscure sightlines, and fundamentally change how a hole plays. Getting the balance right between maintaining the natural beauty of the landscape and ensuring fair, enjoyable play is where specialist knowledge makes the difference.
The fallen Willow needs careful removal to avoid any damage to the surrounding turf and course infrastructure. The Ash reduction is equally precise work — we’re selectively reducing the crown to open up flight lines into the greens while preserving the tree’s health and natural shape, all carried out to British Standard BS3998.
